Keith Morgan graduated from Cardiff Dental School in 1981 and has worked in Newport for 28 years.
His clinical interests include all aspects of cosmetic dentistry including invisalign, crown and bridge, tooth whitening and Cerec 3D.
Mr Morgan ia a dental volunteer with Operation Smile, assisting with the reconstruction of cleft lips and palates in the third world. In 2008 he was the dental member of their first mission to Papua New Guinea, assisting with seventy four surgical cases, operating aboard the US Navy Hospital Ship Mercy. In 2009 he worked in Kenya, and he has just returned from a mission to Cambodia. As well as being a guest on various radio shows, and participating in dental phone-ins, in April 2010 BBC Radio Wales broadcast two 30 minute documentaries recorded by Keith while on the mission to Papua New Guinea.
Keith and Nicola have worked together for over 30 years.
Outside work he enjoys skiing, diving and walking his two dogs Fergus and Winston.

Katherine qualified from Cardiff Dental School in July 2000 with BDS, and then completed a year of vocational training.
She began working as an associate with Keith Morgan in 2001, practicing in Cwmbran, Caerleon. She then moved to Malpas Road in January 2009.
Katherine enjoys all aspects of dentistry especially crown and bridgework. She has a special interest in treating more anxious patients and spends time building up their confidence.

Anthony graduated from Cardiff Dental Hospital in June 1988 and has been in general practice in Caerleon for 20 years before moving to Malpas in Jan 2009. He works 1 day a week in Malpas and the rest of the week in his own practice in Monmouth.
Anthony enjoys all aspects of general dental practice and has recently undergone training in Smile redesign, and placement of cosmetic all porcelain restorations. He is interested in and am trained in the treatment of patients with tension headaches and posture problems with removable appliances.
He has undergone training in the use of Botox for the treatment of wrinkles to the forehead and around the eyes.
His dental nurse Margot is registered with the General dental Council and has worked with me for over 20 years and therefore has a good understanding of how he work and is very experienced.
Anthony also work in the access centre dealing with very nervous patients with dental emergencies and have a lot of experience with patients who consider themselves to be “difficult” or “awkward”.
Anthony is married with 2 teenage children and enjoy spending time with my family, walking my dogs and playing 5 a side football in his spare time.

Ben Currie qualified from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 2004. After this completed two years of General Professional Training which involved one year solely working as an associate in NHS general practice and two six monthly posts as a senior house officer in both the Community Dental Service based in Merthyr Tydfil (treating mainly children) and the Hospital Dental Service at Cardiff Dental Hospital. During this two year period he gained the postgraduate qualification MFDS from the Royal College of Surgeons in London.
This two year period gave him valuable experience in many aspects of clinical dentistry before joining Malpas Dental Practice in 2006.

Morgan Campbell qualified from Kings College London in 2013. She completed her Foundation Dental Training in the London deanery, and went on to complete a general duties core training post at Kings College Hospital, which involved rotating through several dental specialties. This broadened her skill set in managing more complex dental problems.
In 2015, Morgan completed further post-graduate exams to gain her Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons (MFDS) from the Royal College of Surgeons.
Morgan has worked in dental practices in London and Hampshire for several years, before relocating to South Wales. She began working at Malpas Dental Practice in 2019.
She enjoys all aspects of dentistry. She has a strong belief in preventative dentistry, and places great emphasis on patient care and comfort.
She has a friendly and relaxed approach, which makes patients feel at ease. She is experienced in delivering a wide range of treatments in a comfortable and professional manner.

Lakshmi graduated in 2002 from Oxford Dental College, Bangalore, India and then went on to Pursue 3 years of masters in Periodontology from 2004 to 2007 at the same university. I then worked as a senior lecturer for 4 years in the same department, teaching undergraduates at the same college. I also worked as a periodontist in various clinics spread across Bangalore, India.
I decided to move to the United kingdom after my marriage to a paediatrician. I then completed my Licencing examination to practice as a dentist in the UK. During this process I did a fellowship programme in lasers from Eastman dental College London. I have a special interest in Periodontology and is happy to treat all types of periodontitis cases. I am fluent in 5 Indian languages.
I am a mum to a beautiful daughter. I enjoy reading, creative writing and baking.

Kas joined Malpas Dental Care in 2021, bringing his warm and caring approach to the practice. Starting his career as a pharmacist, Kas quickly realized he wanted a more hands on role in transforming lives, which led him to study dentistry at King’s College London. Since then, he has found great fulfilment in helping patients achieve their healthiest, happiest smiles.
Kas has a special interest in dental implants and Invisalign and is passionate about how they can truly change lives by restoring confidence and function. Whether replacing a single tooth or providing a full smile makeover, Kas is dedicated to delivering exceptional results tailored to each patient’s needs. Offering all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry he takes a holistic approach to care, ensuring every patient feels heard and understood. For him, dentistry isn’t just about teeth - it’s about improving quality of life.
Outside of work, Kas enjoys diving into a good book and keeping up with the endless energy of his toddler!

Saugat qualified from Kathmandu University, Nepal in 2018. She began her career delivering comprehensive dental care across a range of clinical settings in Nepal, gaining experience in restorative dentistry, oral surgery, emergency care, and patient-focused treatment.
After relocating to the UK, she continued to build on her clinical foundation, working within dentistry while adapting to UK practice standards. She enjoys working in a mixed NHS and private setting, focusing mainly on general dentistry, cosmetic treatments, and clear aligner therapy.
Saugat has a strong clinical interest in oral surgery and is committed to ongoing professional development.

My name is Catherine McGurk and I am one of the Hygienists at Portman. I Qualified at Glasgow Dental Hospital in 1994, where I was awarded Student of the Year for Dental Health promotion. Since qualifying I have worked for the NHS as well as in the private sector. I am married with a teenage daughter. I enjoy travelling and musical theatre. Oral Health Promotion is one of my passions especially for children and I visit primary schools in my spare time to raise awareness of it’s importance.
